Tom Everett Scott interviewed by DaemonsTV.com

by on Feb.22, 2010, under Cast, Interviews

From DaemonsTv.com

I recently got a chance to talk to Tom Everett Scott who plays Detective Russell Clarke on TNT’s Southland.

As you guys know, last season ended with Detective Russell Clarke getting shot by his neighbor, and his fate was left unknown. As you probably guessed, Russell is back in season two, but he is in rehabilitation from his injuries, which leads him to deal with some new issues.

Tom Everett Scott talked about what’s coming up for Russell Clarke this season, his character’s relationship with Lydia, some of the new projects he has coming up, and much more. So enjoy the interview and don’t forget to tune in to Southland when it returns for its second season on March 2 at 10pm.

Can you talk about some of the differences from being on NBC and now on TNT?

Tom Everett Scott: Well, I think ultimately it’s just important that the show got an opportunity to continue to be seen and I’m just happy that TNT is so supportive of it and promoting it. Hopefully that just continues on that way.

Bostonist Interview with Tom Everett Scott

by on Jan.14, 2010, under Cast, Interviews

You’ve seen East Bridgewater native Tom Everett Scott in the films That Thing You Do!, and Boiler Room, and on TV in “Philly,” “Do Over,” and “Saved.” He currently has a recurring role on “Sons of Anarchy” as the bike club’s counsel. The Bay Stater was in Boston last Thursday to attend a viewing party and answer questions about a certain series he starred in last year, which is making it back to TV tonight.

Last year, NBC made the mistake of canceling the series “Southland,” a gritty crime drama following LAPD officers, even though it received critical acclaim and solid viewership. But since Jay Leno was going to take over the 10pm time slot, the show had to go—especially after it was labeled “too dark” for 9pm. “Southland” was summarily dumped despite being produced by the noted John Wells Productions, who made at least $1 billion for NBC with such minor works as “E.R.” and “The West Wing.” (Possible spoilers after the jump and in the video, if you’ve never seen any “Southland” and want to experience it 100% unsullied.)
