Petition to Renew Southland
Please sign the following petition to Renew Southland. There is strength in numbers, even if you have already sent individual emails to the above people. We are hoping to gather as many signatures as possible so we can send them all at once to the Powers That Be showing massive support for the show, as well as organized support. This is a FAN RUN petition. There is no TNT or Cast involvement here AT ALL, except where some cast members may have chosen – independently – to promote the petition and help spread the word.
Contrary to some rumors on Facebook, I am NOT an executive at TNT. 
I am just a small business owner and software developer who loves the show, and television in general, who has taken up the cause of “the little show that could.” Please help us by getting all your friends & family to sign the petition, too!

We the undersigned ask you, the executives of TNT, Turner Broadcasting System and Turner Entertainment Networks, to renew the John Wells production Southland for a much deserved third season.
Southland is like nothing we have seen on television before. Many words have been used to describe it, like "raw" and "gritty," but words cannot begin to describe what we as fans experienced every week as we watched the show faithfully on your network. We watch, we laughed, we cried, we experienced an entire gamut of emotions evoked skillfully by a masterful team of actors, crew and creative staff.
The love for the show by that team has been apparent from the very beginning and shows in every episode, every shot. Off-camera interviews with the cast and crew show us this love even more, which only endears us to the show more. The very fact the people who make this outstanding drama have put their hearts and souls into it comes through in every single scene.
As dedicated fans of the show, we want Southland renewed. We also understand the hard, economic realities of modern ad-supported television. So we go on record telling you that we support not just Southland, but also TNT and its advertisers as well. We fully understand that the official ratings for the 13 episodes aired may not have been as stellar as some may have hoped, but we sincerely hope that you will take into consideration the many extenuating circumstances involved as well. The history of its cancellation, the uncertainty of its future, the inaccuracy of the "official" ratings statistics, as well as the lack of numbers from other sources such as your own website streaming feed and iTunes sales. We also strongly believe that once production is allowed to continue directly under the umbrella of TNT, rather than NBC, many more viewers will be attracted to Southland as a "TNT Original Drama" rather than what has been perceived as an "NBC rerun".
We do not threaten or anything silly like that, because we are dedicate fans of not just Southland, but also of TNT. We will continue to watch the quality shows you give us on TNT because we believe in your slogan: You DO know drama! We simply ask that you prove that to us by giving Southland the chance that it deserves in its true home.
In short, our Petition is to please renew Southland as an Original TNT Drama! The fans love this show and clearly the critics do, too. Surely award recognition cannot be far behind, if only given the opportunity! Give this show the chance that it deserves and we can see history made, together.

| Ever since Battlestar Galactica went off the air i have been trying to find something else to watch and that show is SOUTHLAND. I love coming home late at night after work and watching this adult show. I know Regina from 227 and Michael from Band of Brothers and other shows. They make me care for the characters and the other actors do as well. Nice twist adding Denise Crosby in the mix and the kid who plays Ben is hot. cant lie on that one.
