Now that SouthLAnd has been renewed for a 4th Season this site will no longer be conducting ANY petitions, now or any time in the future.

It is the opinion of the webmaster/founder of this site that doing petitions like this – while helpful originally when the show was seriously in danger of being lost – are now counter-productive and frankly somewhat embarrassing.

Due to the urging of several very vocal fans, and yes even a member of the cast, we conducted a petition at the end of Season 3. The results of that petition were, shall we say, rather pathetic to be honest. Many claim to love the show, but when it came time to show that love with a simple action like signing a petition? Nope – no love there. I guess taking action beyond clicking a “Like” button is too much for most people. That, to be brutally honest, is the problem that has plagued this site overall for a long time and it pretty much showed itself on that last petition drive as I expected it would.

So for SouthlandTvFans.com – no more petitions. When the end of Season 4 rolls around in the Spring of 2012 we will either get another renewal from TNT or we won’t, based on their own logic and the ratings of the show. If fans want to show their support and help keep Southland thriving, please consider joining the Team here on our site to help us bring in more fans for the show or simply help spread the word about Southland to boost its ratings.
