New Original Interview Coming – Send In Your Questions Now
by Bob on Jan.30, 2010, under Announcements
Thanks to the continuing generosity and support of the cast of SouthLAnd, I will be doing an interview on Monday with the one and only Michael McGrady, Detective Daniel “Sal” Salinger, one of the most interesting characters on the show as far as I’m concerned!
My time with him will be limited due to his insanely busy schedule and I have already received a number of questions from fans over the last couple of weeks, but here’s your last chance to get your questions in if you haven’t already done so! Not only is Michael an incredible actor with a long and varied career, but also an amazing man with many interests outside of acting that we’ll definitely be talking about during the interview.
So send in your questions now, before it’s too late! Email them to me at fans@southlandtvfans.com before 6pm Pacific time tomorrow (Sunday) so I have time to properly prepare.
Ben McKenzie Talks Season 2 With TV Guide
by Bob on Jan.30, 2010, under Interviews
WARNING: SEASON 2 SPOILERS!
In a recent interview with TV Guide (watch the video) Ben talks about his character learning that John Cooper is gay (something I personally have been DYING to say something about since my interview with Michael Cudtliz back in December!!), Ben Sherman taking more of a lead while Cooper deals with his own issues, and moving to the darker side of his role.
Continue past the cut for the video – but again, be warned that it contains SPOILERS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
The 6 Degrees of Southland
by Bob on Jan.27, 2010, under Contests
Just about everyone has heard of “The 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon” right? No? Well, go look it up on Wikipedia and come back, then – we won’t spend time on it here.
What’s The Game?
For our first interactive game here on SouthlandTvFans.com, we are introducing “The 6 Degrees of SouthLAnd“!
How Does it Work?
We give you a show or an actor, and you have to make the connection between it/them and SouthLAnd. There is not necessarily one right answer, so everyone should participate with as many answers as you can think of!
Our Website Is A Global Hit!
by Bob on Jan.25, 2010, under Announcements
When we launched our little website here back in November, just a few days after TNT announced that they had picked up SouthLAnd, it was just a little collection of random facts and a few news stories about the show, all thrown together on a Google Sites template. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that it would grow to what it has become today!
Now, less than 3 months since its inception, SouthlandTvFans.com has taken on a life of its own. We’ve moved to new digs and have a totally new incarnation, leaving the world of Google Sites far behind for the much more user friendly world of WordPress, for one thing. That’s a great thing, because it gives me much more freedom to add new content and widgets without being restricted by the whims of those-who-would-rule-the-world.
Gingercara’s Birthday
by Cathy Lipscomb on Jan.24, 2010, under Fan Birthdays
Today is Gingercara’s/Davina Birthday. Over the last several months, she has become
one of my most cherished friends. Have a wonderful birthday, my friend and
enjoy your day while you read all the birthday wishes from some of your other friends.
Cathy
Sometimes we are very blessed to meet special people in our lives. People that make us better, make us want to be more than who are are today. It is rare, indeed, when we “meet” those people online who have that effect on us without ever actually meeting them in person.
Since I joined the @Cudlitz Army there has been one person who has been there consistently, always in good cheer with a kind word for everyone, encouraging Tweets, a positive attitude and forever the optimist promoting Southland and making friends. That person is, of course, Davina – @gingercara.
I have spent many an hour chatting with Davina since then, on Facebook, GoogleTalk or in Twitter. My admiration of her has done nothing but grow since the very first day. She is not only a fellow Southland Fan now, but someone I consider a dear friend, worthy of my utmost respect. I look forward to getting to know her better and along with her many other friends here, wish the happiest of Birthdays.
Happy Birthday Davina! Only the best for you, dear one!
